A Catholic Approach for Helping Children through Parental Separation or Divorce
Our model has been recognized by His Holiness Benedict XVI, Pope Emeritus; Cardinal Donald Wuerl; Cardinal Edwin F. O'Brien and other Catholic leaders. The text of our model has been published in Italian, Spanish, and French.
Faith Journeys has had the privilege of working with a number of Catholic organizations including: Archdiocese of Washington, Archdiocese of Baltimore, Diocese of Orange. Diocese of Pittsburgh, Diocese of Harrisburg, Knights of Columbus and the Pontifical John Paul II Institute for Studies on Marriage and the Family, the National Catholic Educational Association and Catholic Divorce Ministry.
Our model is the only one in the nation that is family-focused and written by a Roman Catholic child of divorce who is happily married and schooled in pastoral counseling. As such, our curricula reflect the authority of personal experience, pastoral counseling concepts, and Catholic teachings.
We have also been featured on SIRIUS Catholic Radio, Relevant Radio, Catholic TV, The Catholic Digest, Columbia Magazine, Notre Dame Magazine, Catholic New World, and other media outlets across the nation.
In 2008, our founder, Lynn Cassella-Kapusinski spoke at the Pontifical Lateran University in Rome at the conference entitled "Oil on the Wounds: A Contemporary Examination of the Effects of Divorce and Abortion on Children and Their Families." Co-sponsored by the Knights of Columbus and the Pontifical John Paul II Institute for Studies on Marriage and Family, the event gathered international attention.
